Most organisations and individuals in ENTRANCE have already collaborated through previous successful EU funded projects such as C-BORD, CORE, CONTAIN, EUROSKY and are reuniting their capabilities to build the value chain of NII for effective border controls. A further strength of the consortium is the participation of five practitioners - Border Guards Authorities and/or Customs Authorities - readily engaged to defining the requirements and testing the solutions onsite. Besides technical aspects, the ENTRANCE solution will have been designed by customs, for customs.

Service provider: ARTTIC handles both the project management and communication and dissemination activities to ensure that the project results deliver a strong impact to relevant stakeholders
Location
Dublin, IrelandMD CUSTOMS AND BORDER SECURITY SERVICES provides expert advice on the deployment of detection technologies for border control purposes, drawing on extensive operational experience. MD SERVICES also provides advice on Customs procedures and regulations, as well as radiation safety.
MD SERVICES will contribute to all tasks relating to user needs focusing, in particular, on the development of the ENARTIS information sharing platform with a view to assisting customs administrations develop improved risk management systems. MD SERVICES will provide support in preparation for the field trials, including licensing requirements, and will advise on ethical aspects of the field trials.
